Tim Sainato Goes Wire to Wire to Win Pro Am Crown
Kimberling City, MO: Professional angler Tim Sainato closed out a great season with a wire to wire victory in the 2014 Central Pro Am Championship. Sainato set the pace on the first day by jumping out to a 5 pound lead over the field and never looked back best his nearest competitor by over four pounds.
Sainato targeted deep fish in the Kimberling City area of Table Rock lake with a 3/4 oz. Jewel Football jig in Peanut Butter and Jelly matched with a Trigger X trailer. “All of the fish I caught this weekend were 30′-40′ deep on deep points and humps” Sainato told the crowd of over 100 that watched the top 15 Pros weigh in at Bass Pro Shops in Springfield, MO.
Second place went to veteran angler Marty Conrad who fish shallow the first two days of the tournament and had to move deep to catch his limit on the final day.
Third place angler Brent Algeo was the only angler of the top three that had a consistent shallow bite going. “Most of my fish came in very shallow water in the upper end of Long Creek.” Algeo told the crowd.
The Championship marks the end of the 2014 season and the end of Central Pro Am Tournaments. Beginning in October Webb Outdoors will be changing the format to two separate Pro Only Circuits call Central Pro Circuit and Central Elite Pro Circuit.
