This weekend is the final stop on the 2015 Central Elite Pro tournament series out of Bull Shoals Boat Dock on Bull Shoals lake.

The Jewel Bait Company Open marks the last opportunity for anglers to qualify for the 2015 Championship on Stockton Lake in September.

“This is a double appearance points event.” Webb Outdoors President Mike Webb said. “Double points will make a huge difference in the standing and where anglers finish the year in angler of the year and who will make the championship. The Angler of the Year standing will get shaken up a bunch this weekend.”

To qualify for the championship anglers need to finish in the top 30 in angler of the year points or fish (or buy in) all four events. Anyone who fishes or buys into 3 events and does not make the top 30 will not qualify for the championship.

The Central Elite Pro point system is calculated as follows:

Points shall be awarded in the following manner: 150 points for 1st place descending to 1 point for 150th place. In addition, the contestant’s total weight and 25 show points will be added to his/her point’s award for a final point total. Anglers will earn double show points at the final event of the year; 50 show points will be awarded to each Pro Angler fishing the final event. Show points are only awarded if contestants are present for takeoff  on both days of a given qualifying tournament or if an angler has previously registered for the event as a “Buy In” tournament. Emergency exceptions can only be made with the approval of the Tournament Director.
