The Central Pro Am tournament rescheduled for January 18 & 19, 2014 on Lake of the Ozarks has been rescheduled to March 29 & 30, 2014. The Tournament take off and headquarters will remain Robins Resort.

The tournament was originally scheduled to take place on December 7 & 8, 2013 but was rescheduled due to a winter storm.

“We’ve had a number of anglers call and move their entries because of concerns with the amount of ice on Lake of the Ozarks.” Central Pro Am owner Mike Webb said. “All of the phone calls plus the uncertain weather forecast for next weekend has made our decision for us.”

Angler entries will be transferred to the rescheduled event unless an angler contacts the CPAA offices to make other arrangements.

“This has been one of the worst winters we have had in decades.” Webb added. “The majority of anglers we have spoken with agree with moving the tournament to the end of March, the weather will be better and the fishing will be fantastic.”

“We know there will be a few anglers disappointed with rescheduling the event, but the safety and well being of all of our anglers is our chief concern.”  Webb stated.

The next Central Pro Am tournament will be on Table Rock Lake, the Keel Guard Open will be on February 22 & 23, 2014 out of Kimberling City, MO.

“We’ve got some exciting news about the Table Rock tournament.” Webb said. “Outdoor Dan from Fox Sports Midwest will be shooting a video and fishing the Table Rock Event. The tournament footage will be on Fox Sports Midwest four times throughout the year on Outdoor Traditions TV.”

“Everyone at Central Pro Am and Webb Outdoors would like to thank our anglers and sponsors for their support during this change and throughout the year.”

  1. Good decision. Better to be safe for everyone.
Especially for those of us who have to travel several hours to get there. I’m looking forward to getting the year started. Good luck & safety to all on the road and on the water this season.
